Unified Communicator

Advanced.

With UC Advanced, the user can access secure, inter-company instant messaging, audio conferencing, presence, and video and data collaboration features. Combining UC Advanced and Mitel Audio and Web Conferencing applications creates a complete collaboration solution, including multi-party audio conferencing, video conferencing and Web collaboration. This enables any UC Advanced user within your network to collaborate spontaneously with both colleagues and members of the public.

With this solution in place, UC Advanced users can access other UC Advanced users across any number of servers to initiate and transfer calls. For multi-site meetings, users can set up conferences on their IP phone from their PC screen and can drag and drop users into the call to create a conference and a multitude of valuable, innovative options during active calls. Additional advantages include access to your corporate directory, Microsoft Outlook contact lists and calendar, automatic call-handling based on caller or line IDs and instant messaging and file sharing for cohesive teamwork.

Express.

This is a reduced version of the UC application, intended to be a cost-effective desktop assistant that runs from a PC with no need for an applications server so delivers a rapid return on investment. It combines telephony seamlessly with Microsoft Outlook and Windows search functionality, providing users with a range of intelligent call-handling facilities.

From the Microsoft Windows task bar, UC Express users can manage and access productivity tools such as Click-to-Dial, Caller ID Pop-Up, Single-Click Conference/Transfer, and Online Call History, simplifying communications, especially for users with high phone usage.

UC Express works with Microsoft Outlook to allow users to search-and-dial or create a new Outlook task from an incoming call. They can also search for documents, e-mails and corresponding records based on the incoming caller ID or launch a contact record based on the caller ID. End users can easily program their own Mitel IP phone through the PC task bar.

NuPoint Unified Messaging.

Use one inbox to manage all of your emails, faxes and voicemail's and have emails and faxes read to you, for example when driving. This application also allows you to reply to emails by recording a voice message and send it as a .wav file attachment.

Speech Auto Attendant.

This application reduces the number of calls that route to your call handlers, allowing them to undertake more valuable tasks. For specified inbound lines, the Auto Attendant answers the call, prompts the caller to speak the name of the person or department they want and then automatically transfers the call. Individuals can be set up with multiple entries such as mobile phone numbers and home numbers if required and whilst Auto Attendant may not be suitable to front customer calls, it can be used to handle calls into the office from your own staff.

Mitel Remote Border Gateway.

Mitel Border Gateway gives remote workers access to office facilities, such as voicemail, conferencing, and corporate security via broadband. Remote workers can either use a Mitel IP phone or they can use a soft phone (software running on their computer) to receive and make calls. These phones become part of your office system, making calls to and from the office free of charge and allowing outgoing calls from the remote extensions to appear on your office phone bill. Users needing data connectivity simply plug their laptop or desktop PC into the IP phone and a secure VPN tunnel is created back to the office.

Mitel Audio and Web Conferencing.

This application facilitates high-quality audio and video conferences and meetings, including sales presentations and employee training using only an Internet-connected PC and a Web browser. Sessions can be easily recorded and saved for later viewing.
